The beach wasn't such a success yesterday. We left Melbourne when the temperature was about 39 degrees and the further we drove, the colder it got. By the time we were in Torquay it was 22 degrees, overcast and very windy. Way too cold for me to get into water that comes straight from the Antarctic. We had a great lunch in Torquay's town centre and then decided to go to the surfing museum. After all we didn't drive 1.5 hours just to have lunch. It was quite interesting (thankfully the fee was 1/2 price) and then we drove all the way back again. Next time we might opt for a bay beach.
Design wise I'm sort of sure of which patterns to print for my first run of the year, but I haven't decided on a colour yet. I will print two colours and I'm stuck between 3 at the moment. Any suggestions on both the designs and colours?
I will probably save the 'broken blocks' pattern for another time, maybe later in the year.
The new year is also a time for a new type of fabric. It will still be linen, but a different type. More to come soon ...

They look all great but I prefer the orange (of course...) !
Oh, I feel for you! It's so hard to decide what colour to print. I always end up with some kind of shade of blue - I think because I'm always aiming for grey and never hit it!
Anyway, I think they all look fab... but how about a blue ;)
Happy New Year to you.
I really like them all, but if I had to choose I'd probably go for orange and chocolate :-)
I like the green and brown ones. Perhaps because I have never been so fond of orange. However, they all look great.
I love, love, love the orange! And then maybe the green. It's all gorgeous!
the chocolate one!
Torquay can be very tempermental (worked there for nearly 5 years!). All the fabrics look great and I'm just loving the linen you use, I was drooling over some in Homebody the other day - they still have a couple of your DIY note book cover kits.
Happy New Year! Fer
I really like the orange leaves. However I think they would look better if they had a more autumn colour about then, like a red/orange. It would look very Japanese then. n
I love the orange!
