exciting weekend...
Tonight we're going on a girly shopping spree, feed ourselves with yummie pizza and then we're going to this exhibition...
where we are going to admire the work of this and other great artists...
Tomorrow we've got an exciting secret meeting, then a birthday and the rest of the weekend I'll be busy finishing designs and do some sewing...and maybe there's time to relax...
and guess what...Aunty Cookie joined the clan with her awesome prints now available on a linen/cotton blend. Be quick to visit her shop, or it's gone...
Marcel just called me to say he bought this since we're always fighting over the one we already have. So now we can both do our work at the same time...much better :) He's donating the iMac to me and he'll be working on the MacBook with a proper colour calibrated screen...especially for printers and photographers apparently.

clumsy...
Yesterday evening clumsy me bumped her knee as I was walking out the balcony doors...don't ask me how I did it, but I did it. After a while the knee got bigger and bigger and walking was becoming more of a problem so I decided to go to bed as I was pretty much useless anyway. Marcel suggested putting 'emu oil' on it, which sounds like something Australian but it is actually Chinese. Well, fine...bring it on.
Not sure if that was such a good idea. It did bring down the swelling but during the night I pretty much reached the highest temperatures ever reached by mankind. I couldn't sleep most of the night because it felt like my skin was on fire... I got up a few times to put ice on it which helped for a little while. I'm still not sure if I have a fever or if it's the 'emu oil'...let's hope it's the last, but I'm feeling pretty weak today and I still can't walk properly. booo
Luckily the postman cheered me up with a delivery...
pretty lotta fabrics from the goodness shop
a japanese bag making magazine, also from the goodness shop
and my very own print gocco...from here Thanks Leslie!
I'm still offering a free A6 notepads with orders over $60 until the end of March. Remember I only have 5 to give away...which is 4 now...
...and be quick with the mini packs as there are only 1 or 2 available of each and I won't be putting them up for a long time.

More 'trial' photography...
... I made this Japanese inspired bag a few weeks ago and wanted to practise using my camera a bit more. I opened up my Japanese craft magazines and with inspiration from their photos I tried to set it up with props etc. I still have a long way to go, but it's fun setting up for photo shoots. I should ask Marcel to help me...
oh and I've been ironing that linen underneath for about half an hour and can't get the creases out...any tips?

more bricks...
I just put some more olive and orange bricks up in my etsy shop. There's only 50cm left of the orange in my etsy shop and 1m in my bigcartel shop...and there's still a fair bit left of the olive & chocolate...
and have a look at Lara's gocco printed wrapping paper...what a great idea for handmade wrapping paper. I love the sia's village print and I have to say I'm one of the lucky people who has this print hanging on their inspiration wall.

Rebekah from One Small Room sent me these pictures for a job she recently did, decorating a luxury house boat. I'm over the moon and so was the owner...simply stunning!

markets...
We were at the Williamstown markets today. It was my first ever market and I quite enjoyed it. The weather was great and I made some sales, which gave me confidence in signing up for another market.
Kloth & Bolt stopped by on her visit from Sydney...I love meeting other bloggers, it's great to put a face to a name. Thank you for everyone else who stopped by, it was lovely to meet you.

Owlie...
He's here, he's here...
I bought him a while ago on etsy and yesterday he finally arrived. Now he sits above our bed to make the bedroom look a bit 'cooler'. We have bright white walls and it's so hard to make it look 'cosy' when everything is white. I love him, he looks cool!
Happy Friday everyone!

Tagged
Bridget from Brid Bird tagged me...so here we go...
the rules:
- Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
- Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
- Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
- Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
1. We’re going to Holland for 3 weeks in April and I’m already thinking about what to pack and what to buy there
2. I grew up in a tiny village in Holland, studied in a small city in Holland, did my exchange year in Leicester UK and then moved to Australia to complete my work experience…this was actually going to be 5 months only…and I’m still here
3. I just received my permanent residency…yay!
4. Right now it’s 12.40pm and I’m super hungry!
5. I haven’t had a haircut for 2 months
6. Sometimes one of the ladies at the post office doesn’t charge me enough (or forgets to charge me for something she processed earlier) and I don’t say anything (bad!?!?)
7. On Sunday I’ll be at the Williamstown market having my first ever market stall
Time for lunch now..I won't be tagging anyone because I've done it before and I really can't think of anyone to tag now.
and here's a pic of the shoes I bought online because I don't like posts without pics. I'll have to wait till April before I can wear them though, they're in Holland and there's no point in shipping them here because we'll be there in April.

30 of 30
The best photo of the whole series...my new fabric...yay!
I had fun doing this 30 day thing, although I did find it quite difficult at times. I don't really have an exciting life...I figured out :( I go to work, come home, craft, go to bed, etc etc. I enjoyed looking at other people's photos, it's fun to share bits and pieces of your life.
Marcel picked up the new fabrics for me today, while I was at home with a tummy bug :( and I couldn't really stay in bed all day so we (Marcel's the best helper) listed the fabric in the shop...go have a look...It's printed on the same base cloth Lara uses. The natural one. Thanks Lara!
I also got nominated, again, for a 'you make my day award' by Kotkarankki and Mizu Designs. Thank you both so much, it made my day for sure! Since I nominated five bloggers a few days ago, I won't do it again...
Bridget from Brid Bird tagged me...and I'm not forgetting about this...I just need some time to think about it so more about that later. In the meantime, have a look at Bridget's 7 facts...it's amazing in how many countries she's lived.

Homebody Launceston
Lara & Shannon went to Launceston yesterday and took some pictures of my products at Homebody. Thanks girls!
I love seeing pictures of my things in a shop environment, it makes it look so much better. The last picture has a tutti fruiti cushion made with my fabric...it looks great when it's all together.
and don't forget the launch of Mixtapezine issue 3 tonight at Sticky. See you there!

you make my day award...
The awards are going around...and Danielle from Of Paper and Thread awarded me...thank you so much Danielle.
Anyway here's the rules:
1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs (or 10 according to some) that make your day.
2. Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3. Tell the award winners that they've won by commenting on their blogs.
I could probably copy & paste my bloglines subscription here but that would be a bit too much, there are just too many good blogs.
I tried to make a selection of great bloggers that haven't been awarded yet (I think)...here we go...
- Brid Bird
- Sophik
- Red Dog and Jude
- Hyena in Petticoats
- Charlie Motel

the last of my first batch of olive & choc swirl fabric packs are up in the shop now, I will not print on this fabric anymore so this lot is the last of its kind...
A custom order I just finished
Me & Lara also went to the Melbourne etsy meet today, which was fun. It was a great sunny day and everyone made or bought lots of yummie food (unfortunately the ants thought the same thing). It was great to meet everyone :)

Prints...
I was trying to come up with some original gifts, which of course had to be handmade and I decided to expiriment with colours on the computer after seeing Lara's cool prints... I like the result... Hopefully the receiver likes it too...
I really like doing this so I might design some more... maybe for the bedroom wall...
