sewing, working & a date...

it has been a while since my last post but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy. The busy-ness was mostly work though...a full week last week. I offered to work full-time as we had an information day for our 2nd semester courses on Thursday and the acceptance letters had to be sent out on Friday. So it wasn't just my normal Mon - Weds week and I have to say that it was a hard week...I'm just not really used to the full-time working week any more and I really love working part-time.

In between working and sleeping I've been sewing...

for the Melbourne Design Market

more cutting and sewing happening this week

Today I'm going on 'a date' with my lovely boyfriend :) I really wanted to go on a mini-trip but with today's petrol prices it's basically impossible so we'll be visiting the Immigration Museum in the city today. I'm very excited because I really love the history of immigrants (being one myself) and they also have an exhibition of Kimono's on.

For those who missed the last post...the sale is still on in my shop
The sale ends on Monday 30th of June 8pm Melbourne time.

all you have to do...buy your products from my online shop and wait for me to send you a revised invoice.

pretty simple right?

just to let you know...this is the biggest sale I've ever had...and I won't be repeating it soon...after all the financial year only ends once a year ;)

back to school...

On Sunday I'll go to the second, and last, session of my textile design course and our teacher gave us homework. Here's what I've been working on...I'm still trying to get it perfectly lined up as the scan lines are not as accurate as the actual drawing, but I'm getting there.

sweetness...

Hurray they're here...and they'll be up in the shop Friday 11.00am Melbourne time. The dusty colours will be available in full width, which is 130cm. So mums...time to start sewing quilt covers for the kids. The fabric is a new eco friendly blend of 55% hemp, 45% certified organic cotton...hows that for guilt free buying.

My personal favourite is the green...it's just so vibrant and makes me long for spring {I know...winter hasn't even started}. I guess it's because we've been spoilt with fantastic spring weather on our trip to Holland.

Sorry to everyone who's waiting on the story...I'm still trying to get back into things {incl. blogging}.
