Etsy prices adjusted...

Everyone is well aware of the fluctuations in currency, especially the Aussie dollar vs. the US dollar. Because of the massive drop, I have decided to monitor the currency fluctuations and adjust the prices in my etsy shop accordingly.

The prices in my etsy shop have dropped quite substantially now as I want to reflect the price of my goods in Aussie dollars. I don't want Aussie buyers to pay too much for my goodies online, so that's the reason for dropping the price so much.

Because the currency market is never stable, I will keep adjusting prices as currency markets go up and down. Seems to be fair I think.

If you're looking for Christmas presents, have a look in my shop... All of the fabric listed has now become 'limited edition fabric' as I won't reprint any of it. If you've always wanted some, now is the time to buy :)

Bloem in charcoal...

yay! my very first print run... the bloem pattern in a subtle charcoal.
I'm very happy with how it turned out, the colour is just like I had in mind. This run has to be heat set before I can sell it and make products.

The girls also printed Teegs' first pattern today, check it out on our blog. Teegs is in the process of setting up an etsy shop, so you will all be able to get your hands on her lovely pattern soon.

As you might have read on Lara's blog, Ink & Spindle has been accepted for the Melbourne Design Market! It's so exciting, as it's like the biggest design market in Melbourne... scary though, I really have to start making lots of pretty goodies...like now ;)

domino...

Thanks for all the lovely comments, I feel a lot better. A day on the sofa with a hot water bottle and a pot of tea definitely helps!

Here's something way more exciting than being sick...

Domino mag compiled a slide show featuring etsy fabric sellers...including moi. Go and check it out...it's a fantastic website full of designer goodness.

bye bye floating...

With ink & spindle on it's way, I decided to do one last run of floating...yes...the last run ever! Once we start printing at ink & spindle I want to start with a clean slate...it's time for something new :)

I got a small quantity printed in three beautiful colours. The first is a deep red on cream, the second a sand on cream and the third a black on cream. I'm planning to use this creamy base cloth more in the future, it's a light weight cotton/linen and it's just beautiful to sew with.

The shop has been stocked with a small quantity of each colour for the time being...if you'd like a different quantity, please contact me at info@hollabee.com

new edition to the family...

...no not that kind

I just bought 'Wyatt' who was on today's etsy treasury, and isn't he absolutely adorable. I loooove the colours and I'm sure he's going to give me good company on the days that I'll be working from home.

I'm back at work today...my last week here. I have to say that I'm still recovering from the Stitches and Craft show, where I got to meet lots of cool crafty peeps. Luckily this week is a short one, on Friday we'll hit the road for a weekend in Mildura...we have a birthday party to attend and I'm looking forward to it as I have never been to that part of Victoria.

exciting weekend...

Tonight we're going on a girly shopping spree, feed ourselves with yummie pizza and then we're going to this exhibition...

where we are going to admire the work of this and other great artists...

Tomorrow we've got an exciting secret meeting, then a birthday and the rest of the weekend I'll be busy finishing designs and do some sewing...and maybe there's time to relax...

and guess what...Aunty Cookie joined the clan with her awesome prints now available on a linen/cotton blend. Be quick to visit her shop, or it's gone...

Marcel just called me to say he bought this since we're always fighting over the one we already have. So now we can both do our work at the same time...much better :) He's donating the iMac to me and he'll be working on the MacBook with a proper colour calibrated screen...especially for printers and photographers apparently.

more bricks...

I just put some more olive and orange bricks up in my etsy shop. There's only 50cm left of the orange in my etsy shop and 1m in my bigcartel shop...and there's still a fair bit left of the olive & chocolate...

and have a look at Lara's gocco printed wrapping paper...what a great idea for handmade wrapping paper. I love the sia's village print and I have to say I'm one of the lucky people who has this print hanging on their inspiration wall.
